Meditation on James 1:27

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."

James 1:27
Eucharist, Sunday, Proper 17.

God is calling us to Live the true religion as compassionate lives lived to care for the vulnerable and the poor, and to live unstained by the greed of the world. God's mercy is in us, to worship in the spirit of Jesus' love, and in the truth of our giving.
